So I just figured out a thing
okay so fun fact about me
Sometimes I get really annoyed at the way adults behave around children
like i just cant stand it
And i think I just reasoned out one of those reasons
So like
Im manily going off what happens around my baby cousin here
but like
when I'm with her parents
Her parents will ASK for cuddles and kisses and that sort of thing
And if she doesn't want it, they're like "Okay"
But with the rest of my family
If they evenn bother to ask
they just do it anyways
regardless of if she says no or not
and she's almost four
so she knows what she wants
She can talk well
Walks amazingly
knows what she likes and doesnt like to eat
has a big girl bed
so why the fuck do you think she wont know if she wants a hug or not
its her body jfc if she dont want you near it and she aint in danger
leave the child be
Because okay
yes there are times when you have to ignore the wishes of a three year old
like when you're trying to walk somewhere on the beach and she keeps on stopping the play in the sand
which is cute as balls
but
like
when you're trying to leave, or like find a pplace to put down your stuff
there aint time fo dat
Or if the little monster is doing her best to scare the shit out of me by climbing into high things and dangling over the edge
like my bed for example
the lil shit
And I know she's only doing it wind me up because as soon as i go to get her she giggles like mad
littleshit
so yes
But
when you just want to hug a child for the sake of a hug or a kiss or whatever
it's their body
and it made me really happy when my Cousin and her partner sort of make a big point of asking her and of telling her shes loved and is beautiful.
Not over the top so
But you'd just hear one of them say it every so often during the day
and it made me happy
they are awesome parents to be fair
It makes me really proud
and their little house is just
its the perfect home
out of all of my family I love them the most
and they just get things so right
It's also fun because they both used to be goth/metal head types with tats and piercings and the whole thing
and their daughter is a big fan of metal
They put kiss on and she goes wild.
it's the cutest and best thing in the whole world srsly
but my main point is
most adults arent like them
and that pisses me off
it also pisses me off how much adults coddle little kids
but then will just up and ignore them when it suits them
to the point where the kids can be in danger
like
I love looking after my cousin
she is the light of my life
and the thought of not watching her grow up has saved my life a lot of times
so i love looking after her
but
while surounded by family
who are too busy fussing over her for me to get close to her
who then will take their eyes off her while we're outside on the deck
and the poor kid will wonder off down the steps into the garden or up into the house
and like last summer
we were all outside
and i was sat at the far end of the deck
there were people sat by the steps into the house
and there were people sat by the steps into the garden
I was no where near those places
however,
I had to shout for someone to catch her as she nearly fell backwards off the steps into the house because they werent paying attention to her
Or I'd have too run off into the garden to catch her while she made straight for the pond of the road... admitadly its just the track into their house so there are no cars on it
but fucking still
but then as soon as it suits them they're all over the kid again
and I just cant stand it
And dont misunderstand
if you're thinking
"well why weren't her parents doing anything"
They were
We were a team of baby chasing wonder
but
they were also tired as balls
and it was hard work running round thhe garden after her
so I didn't mind going if it was giving them a break
it was my cousins partners only day off that week and he's a self employed gardener and works damn hard
so I felt bad watching having to litterally run around after his daughter just because some idiot couldn't be bothered to just stick their arm out to stop a three year old from going down some steps
and this probably seems like a really petty rant with not much point
but it just bugs me when im with my family
it also bugs me that my aunt will take my baby cousin away and like be all over her while we're down
because II only get to see all of them for like a week once a year
and thats a short amount of time
and since my cousins work or are busy
I get to see them even less
which means even less time seeing her
so i would fucking appriciate it
if while im getting a cuddle from my favorite person in the world that you dont take her away because cuddles with that kid are rare because shes got shit to do yo.
But yeah
that's my rant of the day
I had a way better post i wrote yesterday

and deleated it :(
I think it was because my title was tooo long....
It was about heechul... I might make a post about him after this... I feel like I need to vent my heechul feels.
